Wandering Souls

The Wandering Souls inhabit the realm of Scarlet Crusade on the world of Azeroth. This motley band of disparate characters strive to improve their lot in life, or the afterlife (depending on whether you are an undead or not), and that of their guildmates.

Noggenfogger Nightmare

HELP ME! Eatem has a problem.. No, I have a problem. Well actually, we may all have a problem, if we can't break Eatem of his addiction to Noggenfogger Elixirs.

It was cute at first! We sat by the fire and I gave him toasted gnomes, hot swamp ooze and then read him ghost stories.

But, I'm getting tired of mini-Eatem!

He can't seem to put the Noggenfoggers down. I've tried to
take them from him, but he's been hiding them, either in his coffin, or Aunt Nessie's urn and who knows where else. The effects also appear to be taking longer and longer to wear off and I'm worried they may become permanent. My mate may be forever lost in shrunkeness, and contrary to what some ladies will tell you, size does matter!

So, if anybody knows where I can find the nearest meeting place for NN, (That's Noggenfogger Nonymous for those that don't know!) please send me a message. Thank you and let's all pray for Eatem!

P.S.: There is one bright side to this story! If the Noggenfogger effects become irreversible, I may keep Eatem as a minion! So long as I can command him properly and summon him whenever I want him!

Lost in Maraudon

It has been quite awhile since I put a post up on the website and with good reason, I daresay. A week and more ago, somebody had the bright idea to return to Maraudon. I’ll pause… while you shudder uncontrollably!

Obviously, someone in our group forgot about the disastrous trip we took into the caverns several weeks earlier. After many, many trips to the graveyard and I don’t exaggerate – I think we actually wore a rut in the desert between the Desolace graveyard and Maraudon, we vowed never to return! However, what with our accidental brain swap incident, the neurons in Eatem’s and my brains tend to misfire and encourage us to do things better left undone. In addition, as undeads, repeated trips to the graveyard are events to be enjoyed and cherished, not feared. It’s like a family reunion! Hmmm, on second thought, some of you probably hate family reunions too!

In any event, Maraudon beckoned us to return to its moist, warm bowels. Believe me, the aromas and creepy views are absolutely – to die for! Which, we did, but only once! Yippee!

The real threat in Maraudon is getting lost and we actually became hopelessly lost. Here’s a picture of our little forlorn group standing below. From left to right, is Kaind, Ikavi, me (Atohne), Eatem and Dranlu as we seriously contemplate killing ourselves so that we can navigate to the entrance in ghost form and find our way to one of the other portals.

We would still be lost, if Dranlu hadn’t used his green floaty eyeball thingy to find a path out for us! Cheers, Dranlu!

P.S.: We actually had a blast in Maraudon. Lots of cool things to do and see if you’re the right level!

Toasted Gnomes, Anyone?

Moneybags has the munchies and hasn't been getting near enough donuts to satisfy his incredible appetite for unhealthy snacks! His second favorite snacks, are toasted Gnomes. He absolutely raves about Gnomes toasted on a stick or sword over the bonfires in Orgrimmar. So, we thought we'd make a snack run on Gnomeregan. Where else are you going to find so many tasty treats in one place, besides their ancient capital!

If we get hungry, Eatem can even toast a few Gnomes along the way with his new Eye of Flame! So come along and join the fun. We're thinking of heading out about 11 am server time, Sunday morning - November 13, 2005.

P.S: Gnomeregan is a level 24-33 instance with a max raid size of 10. We can do it as a raid or as a party depending on who wants to go. Andawan is researching the teleporty thingy majiggy at Booty Bay to see if we can use that. Check with him tonight or in the morning!

Lost Soul?

Poor Dramm is definitely a little out of place wandering around Northshire Abbey in Elwynn Forest. He isn't scaring the locals much though. In fact, the only threat he poses is his horrible breath! All of his armor and weapons were destroyed while accompanying the other baby raiders in their long journey from the Valley of Trials in Durotar, across the sea to Stranglethorn Vale, up into Duskwood and through the fringes of Westfall and across Elwynn Forest.

He needs new shoes too!

It was fun, but I think we'll probably stick with our normal characters for future raids.

Baby Raid

Just an update on this evening's raid event. Packrät tried to sneak into Ragefire Chasm and was rudely rejected. He was told that he had to be at least eight levels old before he would be considered for admittance. My guess is, that would be mission impossible for an hour or two's fun. Getting to level 8 is hard enough to do in a hurry with quest experience, something that I don't think will be available for raiders!

Hmmm... I guess we may have to stick with the Kolkars near Sen'Jin, Fizzle and his thugs, and the Burning Blade in Skull Rock. Oh and don't forget the Harpies! I hate Harpies, almost as much as Murlocs!

I think it could still be a lot of fun!

p.s.: Let's come up with some ideas for an event with our regular characters next week! Maybe a Hide n Seek, Treasure Hunt, or an instance raid. Add a comment to this post or send an email to atohne@gmail.com

Newbie Raid?

Ishii of the Dungeoneers is planning on leading a raid for the Horde tomorrow evening at 7 pm server time!

What is she planning?

An attack on Goldshire?, Southshore?, Stormwind or mighty Ironforge?

No actually, she's planning something a little different. Anybody that wants to join must create a level 1 character and meet in the newbie area for the Orcs and Trolls - The Valley of Trials! From that point, the raid will progress as far as possible. I'm not sure that quests can be completed in raid groups, perhaps the only experience gained will be through killing monsters and humans!

Either way, it will be interesting to see how far the group progresses! Perhaps all the way into Ragefire Chasm!

I've created a Level 1 Warlock named Kruul. Perhaps, I'll see you there, if my schedule allows. It will be interesting to see how many of you try to make it to the Valley of Trials as Taurens or Undead and still stay under the Level 2 limit for the start of the Raid! Perhaps you can get a friendly guild Warlock that will summon you to Orgrimmar or Sen'jin Village.

p.s.: Ishii's new Level 1 character is named Ishact. Contact Ishii, Ishact or Dweep for additional details.

Log-In Woes

My frustration is reaching a critical stage. I have not been able to log in for a couple days now. I'm getting tired of the endless cycle of:

Retrieving Characters.. (If I'm lucky!)

Looks like I'll be getting more work done in the near future, or at least catch up on a few TV shows that we haven't watched in months! I'll keep trying now and again, as I miss you guys!

Later (Hopefully)
